smoke out 9...

in the better late then never category, finally an update from the smoke out rally...

wasn't sure what to expect from this year's rally... while last year was fun, it was a bit of a disappointment compared to earlier years... this year didn't disappoint!!! the venue was much larger, there was a drag strip, and the crowd was large. once words gets out, this is going to only get bigger...

as usual, the party started friday night at our place. crowd was small compared to previous years. due to the fact that a couple guys were on a trip to alaska and some just couldn't afford to go - this economy crap really sucks...

we managed to down a lot of good food and plenty-o-beer while telling laughing and telling lies... props again to my wonderful wife for all the work in getting the shindig together - without her, we'd be roasting hot dogs on the grill....

as always, saturday arrived sooner than we wanted. after couple of pots of coffee and breakfast, we finally hit the road...unfortunately, on the way to the rally, we weren't the only ones to hit the road - the air cleaner fell of one of the doods bikes...

after a quick stop on the side of the road to assess the situation, we decided to stop at a dealer to see if we could find a replacement cleaner... of course beggars can't be choosers...

we finally make our way to the rally, several hours later than expected, but just in time to catch the guys rolling in from alaska...

let the partying begin - sights, sounds and smells from the smoke out...

a couple pictures from one of the acts - tyler fyre and thrill kill jill...

notice the cooler on the back of this dood's yamaha... even with the cooler, he was smoking everyone all day long. the best part was he would just cruise out of the start, watching the other rider and deciding how much to pour it on... even though he's not leading in the pic below - he ended up blowing butt-crack away...

i had to find out what the hell was in that cooler...

how's this for a beer run?? this was the only guy the could beat yamaha dood...

until next year...
